We are excited to welcome Jonelle Prokopchak to the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD)! Prokopchak joins CSD as an assistant teaching professor and is teaching CSD 311: Clinical Phonetics this fall. She will also be working with our graduate students as a clinical supervisor in the Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic. Welcome, Jonelle!
Department Announces Re-Accreditation Site Visit
On March 27 and 28, the program in Speech-Language Pathology at Penn State University Park will be visited by a team of representatives from the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, as part of our eight-year re-accreditation cycle. Members of the public may provide input about our department’s graduate education programs by:
- Submitting written comments to the CAA (accreditation@asha.org) on or before March 21 or
- Attending a public meeting at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 27. The public meeting will be held in 111 Research Center A, 743A Hastings Road, at the University Park campus and via Zoom. Visitors attending the meeting in-person may park in the lots directly in front of or behind Research Center A. All written comments must include the commenter’s name, address, phone number, and relationship to the program in order for accreditation staff to verify the source of the testimony. All comments must be signed.
